Another Day in PARADISE

Typically, Mondays are always boring and uninteresting to most of the people. Not for me ..

My Monday starts with an anticipation of what's in store for the weekend. Because my weekends always start with cricket and ends with body pain. Don't take it in a wrong way, because you are destined to suffer from body pains if you are not exercising or playing regularly.

I keep myself busy over the weekdays by making permutations about the team combinations, trying to rope in new players, debating on the field positions. The toughest task is to find a ground that is in our driving range. All the time we end up travelling for an hour and playing in the outskirts of the city. Finding an opposition that can give tough competition is always a challenge.

With all this done , my Weekend starts when the alarm rings at 5 AM. Unlike other days, where I turn it off and doze off, I do wake up at 5. Even before attending the nature calls, I make a number of calls to my team members, because I am not sure whether their alarms work. Hoping that all the team members makes an appearance with out fail, we gather at the office and sets off  towards the ground. Finally when the sun decides to show up, the ball rolls off and the game goes on.

All this trouble, just for a day of cricket?? That DAY is always AN ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE.

AM I JEALOUS??

The day  started as usually. The alarm rang at 6 Am  promptly reminding that i need to workout in order to be in shape,  at least fit enough to continue playing my favorite sport, CRICKET. As promptly as it rang, I turned it off and dozed till 7:30 Am until I realized that it was getting late to office.

Reached to work in time, discussed with friends about the upcoming corporate cricket match between my organization and Synopsys. Then opened my Facebook to check for the recent updates. One post caught my attention.

"Dear sir, you are invited to ipl after party, in return kindly cover It on your blog.

This is the third invitation this month, others are from times and Apollo ....... Yoooooo"

It was a  post from my colleague. I was torn between asking him an available spare invitation. I made up my mind and asked him about it and received a response from him that he did have a spare invitation but he had already invited another friend. All I did was to curse that friend of his and asked him to remember me if that slot opens by any luck.

Earlier, we planned to have a fruit meal for lunch atleast once in a week. He reminded me of it and asked whether I am fine to join him. I was famished and couldn't constrain myself to only fruits. He suggested to try SUBWAY. Quickly ran there and grabbed the "SUB OF THE DAY". It was promptly served and we started munching on to it. Discussion turned on to the authenticity of the HYDERABAD BIRYANI and as it progressed my taste buds started craving for it. We went in search of an outlet which offers biryani and ended up going for a buffet.

Later in the evening he called me and told that his friend dropped out and added that I can join him if interested. I was elated. I had to the chance to see my favorite players from a close range. I went home, got dressed and met him. We both went to ITC Kakatiya Hotel and were waiting for one of the organizers to come. Meanwhile, the players returned from the ground. Finally the organizer made a stunning appearance in her knee length skirt. I stood behind my friend dreaming of what's in store ahead.

To my distress, she explained that I am not allowed as the +1 invitation is only for a female. As I understood that there's no chance of getting in, I walked back to the nearest bus stop. I was filled with a deep feeling, which I realized to be as "Jealousy".  I couldn't comprehend one thing here that whether I am jealous of him as he got the invitation or about women who always get the chance of being a +1?

BREAK KE BAAD

KNOCK  KNOCK….
“Whooz Dere?”  AM I DRUNK?
“BREAK here”   Someone shuffling outside
“#@**##$@ Why do you want me to break my door”   Am I scaring him??
“I am your BREAK for whom you were waiting all these years...”    Is that sarcasm in its voice?
“Do you work for Google?”
“NO”
“Do you have a FACEBOOK account?”
“NO”
“How come you are here at my doorstep the day after I posted in my blog. And where have you been till now?”
“Waiting behind you….”
“For someone to kick me from behind?”
“No. To hear you shouting for me.”
“…….”   Let it wait for some time.
“Are you letting me in or not…” getting restless?
“I always leave the door open in hope of your arrival….”   Feel sorry. You arrived late, but it’s not too late
“Oh… Now that I am beside you, in which for do you want me?”   Tempting me
I closed my eyes. All I can see is a beautiful girl, may be a wealthy girl, being the only daughter of a millionaire father willing to share her life with me…
I opened to eyes and could see only my old fan which is in dilemma whether to turn or not and a couple of mosquitoes on my hand sucking my blood.

AM I DREAMING??”
May be these are the side effects of blogging…

NEED FOR SPEED

HI ALL,
I would like to say two things first. I am Gnana Sai Dattatreya. And I am waiting for a big BREAK.
When I say that I am Gnana Sai Dattatreya, I mean that people acknowledge me with that name.  My once childhood name SRI GNANA SAI DATTATREYA KRISHNA VARA PRASAD REDDY lost many of its words with time and finally stood as Gnana Sai Dattatreya. I never had a Birth Certificate. And my school records are the first proof of my birthday being 28/10/1987. And those are the records which shortened my name first to SRI GNANA SAI DATTATREYA. And during my 10th standard while filing the application for the final exam, I was given the choice of losing one more word in my name as it exceeds the character limit. I choose to leave Sri, as I had confidence in myself getting famous one day and people will finally respect me with  Sri in the beginning. (SRI is a word which adds respect to its bearer)
That’s the day from which I was waiting eagerly to become famous. Waiting for a BREAK to get my true name back. When I read about this idiom “IN SEARCH OF NAME AND FAME” I see myself. And did I get a break? Nope. All I managed was a BTech degree and a job after completing my BTech. I never tried to do anything other than to wait, until some guy kicked me from my back and made me to realize that I have to break lose. And here I am with my first post on my blog after creating it about a fair amount of time before.

With my warm regards.
TO NAME AND FAME.
